Ingredients

  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. red pepper flakes
  • ⅛ cup diced jalapenos
  • ½ cup diced onions
  • ½ cup diced peppers
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Grease a square 8” pan with shortening or lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray
  3. Mix dry cornbread mix with vegetable oil and egg
  4. Add red pepper flakes, jalapenos, onions, peppers, and shredded cheese
  5. Mix until thoroughly combined and pour batter into pan.
  6. Bake the cornbread for 25-35 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with melted butter if desired.
